Steve Capp, President & Creative Director
Steve is an award-winning writer who has spent the last 20 years rearranging the letters of the alphabet, creating headlines, taglines and everything in between to engage customers, build brands and sell stuff.
His education includes the School of Visual Arts; School of Business at the University at Albany; Omnicom Senior Management Program at Babson College; and the boardrooms and conference rooms of countless agencies.
Steve’s first job in advertising saw his talents immediately put to good use when his campaign was chosen to launch the new Hyundai Sonata, helping Hyundai shatter sales records and become the number one import of the year.
His work on Blue Chip clients such as Miller Brewing, Fisher-Price and M&M Mars helped Steve quickly advance to a position of leadership. While at Young & Rubicam, he was asked to join and lead Team AT&T, bringing together brand and CRM expertise in a single cohesive unit.
At Omnicom agency, Unit 7, Steve made company history (at least he likes to think so) by rising from freelancer to Chief Creative Officer in a little over a year. He didn’t waste any time bringing in new business with wins for Lipitor, Online Publisher’s Association, Curemark, Columbia University, Reliant Energy and NeurogesX. To this day, his Lipitor TV spot is the most successful in Pfizer’s history.
Over the years, Steve has written across all platforms of entertainment for many talented performers, including Jason Alexander, Edie Falco, Steven Weber, Randy Quaid, Danny Aiello, Ron McLarty, Kim Raver, Fred Gwynne, Bernadette Peters, ZZ Top, Clint Black, The Who, Dan Dierdorf, Trey Wingo, and Gary Fencik. He is grateful for having had the opportunity to work with countless Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony-winning artists.
Steve currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
